A Pandemic Binder

May 1, 2020 - Ron Kruzeniski, Information and Privacy Commissioner

On March 15, 2020, as discussions regarding the pandemic were mounting, I would not have thought there would be so many access and privacy issues. At the end of April, I am amazed how many issues have surfaced. As issues surfaced in Saskatchewan, my office has attempted to develop a blog, statement, or advisory. As the number of issues increased, we decided to put them into a Pandemic Binder for your use.

At the same time, other Commissioners across Canada were issuing news releases, statements or letters and we thought it would be of assistance to put all these items in a binder, a form of one-stop shopping.

Our hope is this binder will give you an idea of the many issues that have arisen.

Our plan is to gather other items issued by us or other Commissioners and at the end of May, re-post the binder. We will do that again at the end of June. After that, maybe all the issues will have been dealt with.
